A: Yes. Most benefit plans reimburse Registered Dietitian services. We recommend to check with your insurance plan and provider for the amount covered. After each session you’ll get a receipt with our dietitian licence number for easy online claims.

Q: I work rotating nights at VGH – can a meal plan fit that schedule?
A: Absolutely. We regularly work with registered nurses, and other hospital workers. We make sure the meals in your plan can be batch prepped ahead of time, or quickly after your shift work, and include minimal prep snacks for you to take on-the-go.

Q: Can I still enjoy craft beer or sushi without stalling weight-loss?
A: Absolutely. As long as we account for it in your nutrition intake. We teach smart portions, tips for planning ahead for eating out, how to make smart choices when dining out, and protein add-ons, so local brews and maki rolls stay on the menu. In fact, sushi is one of the healthier and lower calorie dining out options we have out there!

Q: How does the email and text support work?
A: Planning date night for the weekend and having trouble deciding between two options? Ask us! Replies land within 1-2 business days – often sooner. Please keep in mind that your program tier determines the level of email and text support.

Q: What’s the difference between a Nutritionist Vancouver and a Vancouver Registered Dietician?
A: “Registered Dietician” is a protected title requiring an accredited degree, supervised internship, national exam, and ongoing education. “Nutritionist” is unregulated in B.C.; credentials vary widely.

Q: How fast should I expect results?
A: Every body is different, and everyone’s level of ability to commit to a nutrition and exercise plan varies as well; results vary. Initial results are usually seen within the first few weeks – depending on your activity level, starting point, goals, gender (cycle timing), age (menopause, reduced metabolism with older age), consistency with the plan, current dietary habits, and stress levels. Our goal is not to have a fast drop in weight – but to have our clients lose weight in consistent, sustainable way, by re-learning healthy nutrition and movement habits.
