Working with Helen has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I have tried many other diets and weight loss programs in the past. I always had good results at the beginning, but they quickly started to fade and always ended up failing. Why? They were never sustainable to begin with. Nobody can eat 1,500 calories a day for the rest of their life, or cut out all types of carbs, or meet all the other requirements those "miracle" diets demand of you. Helen's approach is not only sustainable, but realistic. She never told me to stop eating foods I enjoy. Instead, she gave me the tools I needed to enjoy these foods and understand how to incorporate them into my day-to-day to meet my weight-loss goals. She also helped me make many changes to my diet, gradually and one at a time, so they became habits that last. She also provided many resources, like recipes and online sessions about specific topics around healthy eating, that were extremely helpful and gave me a chance to ask questions and connect with others on the same journey. After working with her for six months, I feel confident I can maintain the lifestyle she helped me create and continue losing weight on my own. I'm extremely grateful I found her, and I can't recommend her enough! :)

I went into this with a set goal and not a lot of knowledge about nutrition. The format of the program kept me accountable and helped me achieve my goal, as well as feel confident to continue on my own. I found Helen really personable, good at listening and making adjustments as we went along and the diet didn’t feel like that much of diet. Painless! Thanks, Helen!

Helen and the Diet Redefined team are nothing short of exceptional. I had the opportunity to work with Helen, and simply put, her wealth of knowledge and commitment to supporting her clients is remarkable. From the warm-check ins to taking the time to identify root barriers to achieving my own healthy eating goals, Helen and the team was there to offer support, every step of the way. In sum, the Diet Redefined team exceeded my expectations and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for support. 10/10 :)

I worked with Leeauna and I am so happy with the results of those meetings. When I first started I was very unsure of how to use the benefits of correct nutrition towards my goals from the gym, but after a few sessions with Leeauna I am now aware of Daily portions, counting calories and protein and what supplements I should be taking. I would highly recommend Diet Refined as I had a great experience from the start

Before joining the program with Leeauna, I had struggled with weight loss for quite some time and had believed it was something not possible for me. Whenever I would succeed, the weight would come back and then some. I had reached out to my family doctor to discuss options like getting on a GLP-1 or working with a dietician. Deciding I could benefit from building a foundation of knowledge that I could lean on for a lifetime rather than a quick fix, I reached out to Diet Redefined. This program has fundamentally changed the way I feel about food and gave me life skills beyond weightloss. It gave me systems and an understanding of how to make better choices, how to pivot when needs change and develop an awareness and toolkit of strategies to navigate life when it has its challenges. Not only did I walk away understanding body recomposition, macros, gut health, strength training, and supplements, I learned how important managing my nervous system was to my success. Things like breathwork, grounding, red light therapy, meditation, and creating intentional transitions out of work mode helped me stay committed to my WHY. The systems Leeauna builds with you are practical and personal because they have to work within your real life, your relationships, your community. When they do, your confidence in yourself and the ability to turn this into a lifestyle increase exponentially. That was the longevity and holistic approach I was looking for so thank you, Leeauna, for this experience and the knowledge!

Want to see what sustainable weight loss can look like in real life? Read our Client Weight Loss Success Stories.

You already know what healthy eating looks like. The harder part is staying consistent when real life happens.

  • You’ve lost weight before, only to regain it back after a restrictive diet left you hungry, craving more, and became too hard to sustain.
  • You eat well during the day – but stress, exhaustion, takeout, snacking, and cravings take over at night time.
  • You struggle to stay consistent when travel, eating out, social events, busy weeks, or unexpected changes interrupt your usual routine.
  • You feel overwhelmed by endless conflicting nutrition advice, and end up overthinking what, when, or how much to eat.
  • You restrict certain foods – then feel guilty when you eat them, and get stuck in an all-or-nothing cycle where one imperfect meal turns into days of feeling off track.

You don’t need more willpower. You need a better system.

Our Registered Dietitians have helped hundreds of busy professionals stop overthinking food, build consistency, and lose weight with an approach they can actually stick to.

From business owners and healthcare professionals to teachers, tech workers, lawyers, and managers –

Our clients are often capable, high-achieving people who feel time-poor, mentally overloaded, and frustrated that weight loss is the one area they still can’t seem to get a handle on.

Does this sound familiar?

Confidence & Identity

  • You avoid certain clothes, photos, or social situations because you don’t feel as comfortable or confident as you used to.
  • You’ve gradually gained weight over the years and don’t quite feel like yourself anymore.

Energy & Family Life

  • You get through the workday feeling drained, with little energy left for yourself, your family, or the things you enjoy.
  • You want to be able to keep up with your kids as they grow – and to model healthy habits for them, now or in the future

Health & Peace of Mind

  • Food and weight take up too much mental space – what to eat, what to avoid, and what you “should” be doing.
  • You worry about your long-term health and want to avoid or get off medication, especially with concerns like blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure, fatty liver, PCOS, or menopause.
  • Low energy, joint pain, or getting out of breath going up the stairs can make everyday life feel harder than it used to.

What if you didn’t just lose weight – but also built the habits, skills, and confidence to maintain your progress?

It takes more than knowing what to eat. Our 4S framework helps you build the mindset, structure, and systems needed to make progress and maintain it in real life.

1. Shift

Change how you think about food. Move beyond all-or-nothing thinking, restriction, guilt, and feeling like one imperfect meal means you’ve “blown it”.

Develop a healthier relationship with food with more flexibility, confidence, and less guilt and second-guessing.

2. Structure

Get clarity without strict rules. Learn what to eat, how much to eat, and how to structure meals through personalized nutrition targets and flexible guidelines.

Build enough structure to make progress – while still being able to adapt when your schedule changes.

3. Systems

Build simple strategies that work in real life. From meal planning, snacking, and cravings, to long workdays, stress, restaurants, travel, family meals, and social events.

This reduces decision fatigue and makes it easier to stay consistent – especially when life gets busy.

4. Sustain

Build skills needed to maintain your progress long term. The goal isn’t simply to lose weight for a few months, then fall back into old habits and regain it back.

It’s to build the confidence and skills to maintain your progress, keep the weight off, and eventually move forward on your own.

This isn’t a generic meal plan or a “just eat less” approach.

It’s structured weight loss program that combines personalized nutrition guidance, accountability, and practical support for real life.

So you know what to do even when works gets busy, stress hits, social plans come up, or you eat out.

1. 1-on-1 Registered Dietitian Guidance

Get clear, professional guidance on what your body needs, what to focus on, and how to adjust your approach as your progress, schedule, health goals, or circumstances change.

2. Personalized Meal Planning & Nutrition Targets

Build meals around your schedule, preferences, culture, cooking ability, and goals – so you spend less time and mental bandwidth wondering what to eat.

3. Cravings, Emotional Eating & Real-Life Challenges

Develop practical strategies for stress eating, cravings, restaurants, takeout, holidays, travel, and social events so progress doesn’t depend on avoiding the situations and foods you enjoy.

4. Progress Tracking & Accountability

Review your progress and food diary together, identify what’s working, and make adjustments when life, stress, travel, appetite, or routines change.

5. Nutrition Guidance for Health Goals

Your nutrition plan can also account for PCOS, perimenopause, menopause, insulin resistance, GLP-1 medications, blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure, fatty liver, digestive health, low energy, muscle gain, or fuelling for sports – alongside your weight loss goals.

6. Group Sessions, Learning Modules & Resources

Use additional education, practical tools, and group support to reinforce what you’re learning and make habits easier to maintain.

Weight loss isn’t just about eating fewer calories. Your nutrition needs can be influenced by your health history, medications, life stage, activity level, sleep, stress, food preferences, culture, schedule, and relationship with food.

A Registered Dietitian helps turn all of that information into a personalized nutrition plan that’s evidence-informed, realistic, and adjusted as your needs change. So you’re not left piecing together conflicting nutrition advice from social media, AI, or one-size-fits-all diets.

  • Feel overwhelmed by conflicting nutrition advice and want clear, personalized nutrition guidance.

This May Not Be the Right Fit If You…

  • Aren’t ready to make changes to your habits or routines right now.

What Does a Registered Dietitian Do for Weight Loss?

A Registered Dietitian can help assess your current eating patterns, nutrition needs, health history, lifestyle, and goals, then translate that into a personalized nutrition plan. Support includes personalized nutrition targets, meal structure, meal planning, long-term behaviour-change, progress reviews, ongoing accountability, and adjustments as your needs change.

What Is the Difference Between a Registered Dietitian and a Weight Loss Coach or Nutritionist?

In BC, Registered Dietitians are regulated health professionals who meet specific education, practical training, and professional requirements. A weight loss coach may focus on habits, motivation, and accountability, while the term “nutritionist” does not always indicate the same regulated credentials.

At Diet Redefined, you get nutrition counselling, behaviour-change support, weight loss coaching, and accountability – all provided by Registered Dietitians.

Will I Get a Meal Plan?

Yes. You’ll receive personalized meal planning support built around your dietary preferences, food intolerances, cultural foods, cooking ability, schedule, and health goals.

That said, the goal is not to simply teach you how to follow a meal plan. We use it as a practical starting point for structure and recipe ideas, while helping you build the skills to eat confidently in real life – including when dining out, travelling, attending social events, or grabbing food on the go.

Can I Still Eat Out, Travel, and Enjoy Social Events?

Yes. The program is designed for real life – not only when conditions are perfect. Your dietitian will help you develop strategies for restaurants, takeout, travel, holidays, busy days, and social events while continuing to work toward your goals.

The goal is to create a way of eating that feels flexible, realistic, and sustainable long term – rather than a restrictive diet you have to “restart” every time life gets busy.

How Much Weight Can I Realistically Expect to Lose?

A common rate of weight loss is around 0.5 to 1.5 pounds per week, though individual results vary from person to person. Your rate of progress can depend on factors such as your starting point, activity level, consistency, sleep, health history, medications, stress, and life stage.

More importantly, the goal is not to lose weight as quickly as possible. It’s to build the habits, skills, and mindset that help you stay consistent and keep the weight off long term.

Can the Program Support Menopause, PCOS, Blood Sugar, Blood Pressure, Cholesterol, or Digestive Health?

Yes. Alongside weight loss, your Registered Dietitians can tailor nutrition recommendations around health concerns such as perimenopause, menopause, PCOS, insulin resistance, GLP-1 medications, blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure, digestive health, low energy, and muscle gain goals where appropriate. Recommendations are personalized based on your health history, lifestyle, and goals.

Yes. Our Registered Dietitians can support you while using a GLP-1 medication by helping you meet your nutrition needs through changes in appetite and digestion, build meals with enough protein and fibre, support muscle maintenance, and navigate eating challenges.

We also help you build skills and habits you can carry with you long term – including strategies to help reduce the risk of weight regain if your medication dose changes or you eventually transition off, with guidance from your prescribing provider.

Are Registered Dietitian Services Covered by Insurance?

Many extended health insurance benefit plans in Canada cover Registered Dietitian services. Coverage varies by provider and plan, so we recommend checking directly with your insurer. Diet Redefined provides receipts for reimbursement where eligible.

What Happens During the Complimentary Consultation?

The complimentary consultation is a 20-minute conversation about your goals, the challenges you’re facing, and the type of support you are looking for. We’ll explore whether it may be a good fit to work together. If so, we’ll share next steps. If not, we’ll help point you in the right direction.

You don’t need more conflicting nutrition advice.

You need clarity, structure, personalized nutrition support, and a lifestyle change you can stick to long-term – especially when life gets busy.
