Founder of Diet Redefined
Nutrition support complements your medical care. We do not diagnose PCOS, prescribe medication or change your prescribed treatment.
PCOS and PMOS: two names for the same condition
Polycystic ovary syndrome, commonly called PCOS, is now known as polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS). The newer name reflects its effects on hormonal and metabolic health, not only the ovaries.1
We use both names here so you can find relevant support whether your diagnosis or the resources you have read use PCOS or PMOS.
Personalized support, not more food rules
How a PCOS dietitian can help
Perhaps you have been told to lose weight without being shown how to approach it. Perhaps every search brings another list of foods to avoid. Your appointments are a place to work through the questions that matter to you and turn them into practical next steps.
Understand your food and blood sugar priorities
When insulin resistance or blood sugar is a concern, we help you work through meal choices, portions and eating patterns. Bring any relevant results your medical team has shared so recommendations can account for your health history.
Make room for your preferences
Your culture, favourite foods, budget and cooking confidence belong in your plan. We help you build meals and snacks that fit your routine rather than hand you a menu that assumes unlimited time.
Work through cravings and all-or-nothing eating
Talk through skipped meals, evening snacking, stress eating or the feeling that one choice has ruined your day. We help you identify patterns and practise a more flexible approach without treating food choices as a test.
Adapt your approach as life changes
Follow-up gives you space to review what is working, troubleshoot challenges and adjust your plan. Changes in your schedule, appetite, goals or prescribed treatment can all be part of that conversation.
The goal is a clearer plan and support using it, not another set of rules you have to manage alone.
Food guidance you can put into practice
Personalized meal planning, not a generic PCOS diet
International guidance does not identify one diet composition as superior for PCOS. It recommends an individualized, sustainable approach rather than unnecessarily restrictive eating.2
Instead of trying to follow every food rule you encounter, we help you decide what deserves attention in your own routine. That might mean planning a breakfast you have time to eat, making lunch more satisfying or finding a few dinners you can repeat.
Clear structure for everyday meals
Work through how to combine protein foods, fibre-rich carbohydrates, vegetables and fats in ways you enjoy. Portions, meal timing and food choices are tailored to your needs, not copied from someone else’s plan.
Options for the less predictable days
Plan for takeaway, restaurants, travel and the evening when the fridge is nearly empty. We help you build alternatives so your routine does not depend on preparing every meal from scratch.
Explore our custom meal-planning approach to see how structure and flexibility can work together.
PCOS weight management without making every meal a test
When weight loss is one of your goals, we help you approach it alongside your nutrition needs, preferences and relationship with food. That includes looking at what has made previous approaches difficult and building practical alternatives.
Diet Redefined’s Registered Dietitian weight loss program can account for PCOS-related concerns through personalized nutrition guidance, meal planning and ongoing accountability. During your consultation, we will discuss how that program fits your goals and PCOS-related needs.
Your health is about more than weight. Nutrition and activity changes can support health even when weight does not change.3 Tell us which goals matter to you. During your consultation, we will explain whether our current services are a suitable fit.
What working together looks like
From conflicting advice to a plan you understand
We start by learning about you and explaining the support available. The consultation is an opportunity to discuss your needs, program options, fees and next steps before deciding whether to work together.
Talk through your priorities
Share your main concerns, what you have already tried and the changes you would like help making. We discuss fit and which dietitian may be appropriate for your needs.
Build a fuller picture
When you begin care, your dietitian reviews your eating patterns, health history, relevant medications, preferences and daily routine. Your priorities help shape the nutrition plan.
Choose practical changes
Turn your goals into manageable food choices, meal-planning ideas and strategies for difficult moments. You should understand what you are working on and why it matters to you.
Review, troubleshoot and adjust
Use follow-up support to discuss progress, barriers and questions. The plan can evolve as you learn what fits your life rather than staying fixed when your needs change.
Bring your questions about PCOS, PMOS and working with a dietitian.

PCOS and PMOS nutrition questions
Should I see a PCOS dietitian or a nutritionist?
Searching for a PCOS nutritionist is often a starting point for finding help with food. At Diet Redefined, nutrition counselling is provided by Registered Dietitians. We discuss your concerns, explain the support available and help you decide whether our approach is a fit.
Will I receive a personalized PCOS meal plan?
Personalized meal planning is part of our weight loss program. Your dietitian can account for PCOS-related nutrition concerns alongside your preferences, routine and goals. Meal ideas are a starting point for learning how to adapt, not a fixed menu you must follow perfectly. We explain the support included in your program before you enrol.
Do I have to cut out carbohydrates, dairy or gluten?
We do not begin with blanket rules about removing food groups. Tell us about any diagnosed allergies, coeliac disease or intolerances so your plan can account for them. Otherwise, we focus on an eating pattern suited to your needs and preferences rather than unnecessary restrictions.2
Can I discuss nutrition if weight loss is not my main goal?
Yes, you can bring that to your consultation. PCOS care is not only about weight, and healthy lifestyle changes can be beneficial without weight loss.3 We will discuss your priorities and whether the services we currently offer match the support you are seeking.
Can nutrition support fit alongside metformin or GLP-1 medication?
Tell your dietitian about your prescribed medication and any eating difficulties you are experiencing so nutrition guidance can account for your treatment. Your prescriber remains responsible for medication choice and dose changes. We also offer GLP-1 nutrition support for adults using those medications.
Do I need inositol or other PCOS supplements?
A supplement is not an automatic part of every nutrition plan. International guidance notes limited clinical benefits for inositol and insufficient evidence to recommend specific types or doses.2 Review supplements with your healthcare professional, especially when you take medication or are planning pregnancy.
Can a dietitian diagnose or cure PCOS?
Diet Redefined does not diagnose PCOS or offer a cure. PCOS requires medical assessment, and nutrition support is one part of ongoing care.3 Speak with your doctor or nurse practitioner about diagnosis, new symptoms and treatment. Your dietitian helps with the nutrition side of your care.
What happens during the complimentary consultation?
We spend about 20 minutes discussing your goals, concerns and the support you are looking for. You can ask about the program, fees, availability and next steps. This introductory conversation is not a full nutrition assessment or a personalized treatment plan.
