I was having a hard time loosing weight after having tried on my own unsuccessfully for several years. Energy levels were way down, I was starting to struggle with day to day activities, standing for extended periods of time, finding motivation to get out for walks or exercise etc. Found myself the biggest I have ever been and was looking for some support in loosing weight, and some help with staying on track. The check ins were exactly what I was needing to keep accountability high, touching base between our meetings. Great motivation when there were periods when progress seemed inconsistent or stalled. I now have found several new snacks, and great meals I incorporate in my routine now with lots more to draw from when I want a variety or to switch things up. Working with her over the last 6 months I have developed lots of great habits and had great success. I'm down over 50 lbs now in the last 6 months, and the lowest I’ve been in more than 5 years. I'm feeling very good, way more energy, looking forward to physical activities, not shying away from walks or hikes. No more avoiding yard work and chores due to fatigue. Taking Helens Diet program helped me out so much with my weight loss journey. She gave me resources to help me with my goal. Not only that but being a south asian person, it was very hard for me to find a dietitian that worked with me. She gives great advice and very easy to work with. Between ADHD and Mental Health issues, I've never had the best relationship with food. Helen has helped me drastically change that. Started off teaching me how to do stress free calorie counting. What target numbers would be to lose weight. Made it easier to know if i was eating too much. Then helped me with meal plans for food I enjoyed eating, and was straight forward enough the ADHD brain would enjoy making it. Made sure the meals were both fulfilling and filling. I was no longer hungry an hour after breakfast. Or wanted to consume junk food before bed.
